PIN2VIN Catalytic Labels
Not all catalytic converters are high risk, for example, if a thief cannot easily access your converter, the risk of being stolen is reduced.
No, the label and etching fluid must be applied to a cool to touch catalytic. If the catalytic is too hot the etching fluid just boils off before it can etch the metal.
No, the label must be applied to clean, rust free and paint free bare metal.
The window stickers are applied to the inside of the two front side windows. If your windows are tinted, you can place them on your front windshield.
The installation is simple and takes under 10 minutes. Watch this short training video for more information. https://youtu.be/ErLPULhjX_M

Recoveri Microdot
A microdot is text or an image substantially reduced in size onto a small disc to prevent detection by
unintended recipients. Microdots are normally circular and around one millimetre in diameter but can
be made into different shapes and sizes and made from various materials such as polymer or metal.
The Microdot technology is applied to a vehicle. The unique number on the Microdot is registered to the
lawful owner in the Recoveri database and uploaded into the North American law enforcement
exclusive data system. Thieves do not want to get caught with property that links them to a crime scene
and your property becomes less interesting to them
Cloning a motor vehicle is the equivalent of identity theft. It simply entails stealing a legitimately owned
vehicle’s identity. Cloning refers to the exact duplication or copy of a legally bought and registered
motor vehicle.
South African criminal syndicates are among the best in the world at vehicle cloning, however changing
10,000 microdot identifiers is a near-impossible task.
The Microdot adhesive has an Ultraviolet (UV) base to it. Law enforcement agencies identify tagged
assets with the use of ultraviolet light. The tagged asset will glow when exposed to UV light.
The Recoveri Microdot cannot be easily removed since a thief would have to remove thousands of ID
labels and law enforcement would only need to find one to identify a vehicle. The UV based adhesive
dries within 15 minutes of application and hardens within 12 hours.
South Africa has proven the solution and has required all new vehicles to be marked by law. Business
Against Crime shows that microdot technology has greatly reduced the number of vehicles stolen in
South Africa. Microdots are a cost-effective, strong deterrent to criminals.
